Banting’s Letter on Corpulence

In 1865, just over a century before Atkins published the now famous Atkins Diet, a man named William Banting sent out a periodical to the people of London addressing his fight against obesity.

Banting, not unlike the countless of people in today’s society, struggled over and over again to rid himself of his excess weight. Referred to as a “parasite” in his letter, his efforts yielded practically no results. [Read more…]

10 Ways to Achieve the Body you Always Wanted

1. Pay attention to what you eat. Start tracking your calories and macros using an app like myfitnesspal. Anything less is just a guess, and it will most likely be wrong.

2. Eat more protein. If you can, include a protein source in every meal (4-6 oz. or 20-30 grams). It’s likely you are currently eating less than 50 grams per day.

3. Eat less processed junk food. This includes all fast food and most packaged goods. [Read more…]

The Quest to Conquer Modern Day Nutrition

My never ending, lifelong quest to conquer modern day nutrition continues as I address the misunderstanding of key principles.

It seems that almost everyone has a problem with this or that, some kind of thyroid problem, some kind of metabolism problem, or more recently, some kind of problem due to a lack of eating MORE calories. I keep hearing, “I can never eat enough calories to lose weight.”

It may sound crazy, but more and more people keep telling me they don’t eat enough calories to lose weight.

Building the Back of an Adonis

It means that you are serious about training and not simply a show body with a glimpse of the summer month’s motivation. It takes time to build thick slabs of back muscle and even slower than its progress, is what you can see in the mirror.

The making of a big, freaky back produces real-world function and makes world champion bodybuilders.
