Every once in a while you have to show the jackals who you are.

It means that every once in a while you have to show the world who you are and what you are capable of.

The world must know that you here for a reason. Your purpose is undeniable.: you are destined for greatness.

If you want to be the best, then you must be able to defend that title when it matters. When the time comes.

If you are a black belt, then you must be able to fight and defend your right to wear that rank. When you are a warrior, you must be able to stand and fight when the situation calls for it. When you are a boss, you must know where to go when all are lost.

In the game of winners and losers, the winners are merely placeholders for those that are gnawing at their side. For those that are willing to outwork them.

Unless of course, they decide to show the jackals who they are.

THE LION

By Christopher Walken

You got this lion.

He’s the king of the jungle, huge mane out to here. He’s laying under a tree, in the middle of Africa. He’s so big, it’s so hot. He doesn’t want to move.

Now the little lions come, they start messing with him. Biting his tail, biting his ears. He doesn’t do anything. The lioness, she starts messing with him. Coming over, making trouble. Still nothing.

Now the other animals, they notice this. They start to move in.

The jackals; hyenas. They’re barking at him, laughing at him. They nip his toes, and eat the food that’s in his domain.

They do this, then they get closer and closer, bolder and bolder.

Till one day, that lion gets up and tears the shit out of everybody.

Runs like the wind, eats everything in his path.

Cause every once in a while, the lion has to show the jackals, who he is.

[end of speech]
