Note: Our focus is personal and professional development with a particular emphasis on excellence and peak performance. Discipline is our mandate. We believe the Mind is Primary. However, sometimes the world forces us to make comments on its absurdity because our environment matters. The mediocre society is our environment. This is why big cities and places that have interesting things going on are better for production and creativity. We become inspired and the words of ideas flow through us from an endless chalice. Take it for what it is but don’t conform.
There has been an some internet backlash of late (July 2017) in regards to President Trump’s recent ban on Transgender service in the Military. For today’s liberal society and its plethora of Social Justice Warriors, this declaration was simply unacceptable.
How could the President of the Free World prohibit transgender service in our beloved all-volunteer Army?
Quite honestly, I am not sure why it was ever even considered an option. For an organization that is supposed to be the Defenders of the Homeland, nothing could be more devastating to its ability to maintain discipline than to allow special treatment of a special population.
Current socially progressive mandates like same-sex couples still require those couples to abide by standing regulations. Everyone is treated the same. All abide by the same standards, forming the solid foundation of which we command humans to death (either to one or in the act of taking one). Call me crazy, or sentimental, but I still find this concept of human nature to be fascinating, especially considering our short and delicate existence.
The logistics alone of making things like living areas, training areas, blah, blah, blah would make it a nightmare to implement and enforce. Not to mention the calamity that would ensue as the Army’s PA team fights to keep this social experiment from spiraling out of control; to avoid the regulation of our fighting forces to the opinion of every single failed transgender trying to make it as a Warfighter.
I could go on forever on why it would be a dumb idea to make this happen. And just to be clear, I am not against transgenders, just like I am not against homosexuality, duality, asexuality, androsexual, aromantic or any of the other letters on the expansive LGBTQ family of acronyms.
In today’s world, we can be anything that our little heart desires. I just think that you shouldn’t be allowed to serve. Just like people who chose to get tattoos on their face or to embrace the manly delight of a 10 foot beard. It’s cool, I support it but they don’t jive with the grooming standards meant to ensure good order and discipline. But again, if the rules are clear upfront, then the choice to serve is still up to the person making the decision. Individual responsibility, such a cruel world we live in.
But I also realized something even more deeper. Dare I say even more controversial. How about more unpolitically correct because it bears solid reoccurring proof from 200 years of historical data (roughly the tender age of America for those of you that think the 4th of July is also National Hotdog Day).
NONE OF IT MATTERS
I realized that none of it matters. It doesn’t matter because today’s Army is a Proxy Army.
It is there to project power and to engage in civil deeds or in limited bouts of focused action. But it is not a war winning Army. A war winning Army is something completely different and it will mostly consists of warfighters that cannot currently stand the bureaucratic, circus like nature of today’s modern force. These people will come to fight, to protect their families and their way of life, and when victory is secured, they will leave.
This is the story of America’s warfighting history.
When the need arises, the real war winners answer the call. The liberal society fuels the Proxy Army and together forms America’s true fighting force. I like to call them “war winners” because that is what they do. In 200 years of glorious triumph, the war winner’s flock towards the sound of battle slowly shedding the bulky, heavy bureaucratic skin of today’s clunky force to do what is necessary to win. They preserve the freedom of choice that we cherish so dearly.
War winners allow us to speak freely in regards to anything we desire. We even get to openly bash the government and make hasty and uneducated comments on things we know nothing about; like warfighting policy or the ins & outs of combating radical Islam and its affiliated terrorist organizations.
You even get to say whatever you want on the internet.
